My name is Tim Slusher and I walk with people on their healing journey. My passion is to help empower those on their journey to recovery from Complex Trauma (CPTSD), grief and loss with the help of music modalities. I invite you to read the About page, to get to know me better.

I know how difficult it can be to find the right fit. That's why I offer a free discovery call. Let's chat and see where the path takes us.

FAQ

What is a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach?

A Certified Complex Trauma Recovery Coach is a Mental Health Practitioner trained in working with clients with Childhood Trauma and other complex traumas. They work with trauma survivors as peers, mentors, guides and educators with the goal of helping their clients understand the recovery process, reconnect with themselves and the world around them. Certified Trauma Recovery Coaches/Practitioners are not physicians or licensed therapists.

What is the difference between Trauma Recovery Coaching and therapy?

Therapy is about the past, diagnosis and why. Trauma Recovery is about acknowledging the past and how to heal, while bringing focus to the present day, to help create a new life-path. Coaches/Practitioners can work with therapists and become a part of your team. Trauma Recovery Coaches are fellow trauma survivors helping you through your recovery with education, somatic work, self-care and accountability. Our aim is to empower our clients to understand what is happening physically, emotionally and mentally, why they repeat behaviors, to assess how they want to change, where it started, and how to move forward in a different way.

What is a Discovery Call?

A discovery call is an initial consultation to explore what your needs are, where you are on your journey, what you are hoping to accomplish. It's a chance for you to interview your coach/practitioner and determine if we are a good fit for you and your goals.

What is the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)?

The Safe and Sound Protocol, or SSP, is a non-invasive application of Polyvagal Theory, based on decades of research and developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. Nourish and awaken the nervous system. The SSP is an acoustic vagal nerve stimulator. SSP provides neural exercises (listening to music) to the middle ear muscles, which regulates physiological states through the vagus nerve. Using SSP supports the feelings of safety, feeling more grounded, more creative, as well as, less irritable, less anxious. It helps to think more clearly and connect with others on a deeper level.

What is the Grief Recovery Method?

The Grief Recovery Method is a scientifically-tested program that provides grievers a tried-and- true method for grief recovery.  This is an 8 week action-based program for moving beyond death, divorce, and other losses.
